reset key

A key combination that, when pressed, restarts the computer. This key combination (Ctrl-Alt-Del on DOS machines) provides an alternative to switching the power off and on after a crash so severe that the keyboard does not respond. See hardware reset, programmer’s switch, and warm boot/start.
