DNS(Domain Naming System)

Software that lets users locate computers on the Internet by domain name. The DNS server maintains a database of domain names (host names) and their corresponding IP addresses. In this hypothetical example, if www.mycompany.com were presented to a DNS server, the IP address 204.0.8.51 would be returned. See WINS.

Hệ thống đặt tên domain, phần mềm cho phép người dùng định vị các máy tính trên Internet theo tên domain. DNS server bảo quản một cơ sở dữ liệu bao gồm các tên domain (các tên máy chủ) và các đĩa chỉ IP tương ứng của chúng.
