RAM disk

A disk drive simulated in memory. To use it, files are copied from magnetic disk into the RAM disk. Processing is faster, because there’s no mechanical disk action, only memory transfers. Updated data files must be copied back to disk before the power is turned off, otherwise the updates are lost. Same as E-disk and virtual disk.
