A computer manufacturer formed in 1986 as a merger of Burroughs and Sperry corporations. This was the largest computer merger in history. Sperry started in 1933 in navigational guidance and control equipment and Burroughs started as a maker of calculating machines. Today, Unisys markets a full range of computer systems, including current versions of product lines originating from both companies. It also provides business consulting and integrated solutions for vertical markets.
