In a computer newsgroup, a message that contains the denouement (ending) of a novel, movie, or television program, or that gives the solution to a computer or video game. Network etiquette requires that such messages be encrypted so that readers cannot read them unless they choose to do so. In USENET newsgroups, the encryption technique is called rot-13.
