SMB(Server Message Block)

A file sharing protocol from Microsoft that is commonly used to retrieve files in DOS and Windows networks. SMB requests are carried within the NetBIOS network control block (NCB) and are also used within the server for internal operations. SMB provides services at the application layer (layer 7 of the OSI model).

Trong các mạng DOS và Windows, các yêu cầu SMB được tải trong khối điều khiển NetBIOS (NCB) và cũng được sử dụng trong server dành cho các hoạt động bên trong. SMB cung cấp các dịch vụ tại lớp trình ứng dụng (lớp 7 của mô hình OSI).
