serial bus

A type of bus that transmits data serially. Ethernet is an example of a serial bus on a net work. Serial buses are also expected to become popular for attaching multiple to computers. Although both use serial transmission, a serial bus differs from a serial port. The serial port connects the computer to one peripheral device. A serial bus allows for the connection of multiple devices.
