run-time version

A commercial version of an interpreter or windowing environment that enables the creator of an application program to sell a limited version of the interpreter or enviroment, for the benefit of users who may lack the interpreter or windowing environment. Not all users have Microsoft Windows, for example, so some software publishers sell their Windows applications with a runtime version of Windows.
