radio frequency interface(RFI)

The radio noise generated by computers and other electronic and electromechanical devices during their operation. Excessive RFI generated by computers can severely degrade the reception of radio and television signals; likewise, RFI generated by other sources can cause screen flickering and even data loss in poorly shielded computers.
