PILOT(Programmed Inquiry Language Or Teaching)

An authoring language for computer assisted Instruction(CAT). John Starkweather developed PILOT (short for Programmed Inquiry Language Or Teaching) at the University of California (San Francisco, 1968). PILOT is exceptionally easy to learn because it has very few commands. Used primarily to develop onscreen instructional materials, PILOT is being displaced by new authoring languages that use graphical user interface such as HyperTalk. Được sử dụng để bước đầu xây dựng các tài liệu dạy học trên màn hình, PILOT đang được thay thế dần bởi các ngôn ngữ quy tắc loại mới, ứng dụng các giao diện người máy bằng đồ họa, như HyperTalk chẳng hạn.
