ITU(International Telecommunications Union, Geneva, Switzerland, www.itu.ch)

Formerly the CCITT (Consultative Committee for International Telephony and Telegraphy), it is an international organization founded in 1865 and headquartered in Geneva that set communications standards. The ITU is comprised of over 150 member countries. The Telecommunications Standards Stection (TSS) is one of four organs of the ITU. Any specification with an ITUT or ITUTSS designation refers to the TSS organ.

Trước đây là Ủy ban tư vấn về điện thoại điện báo quốc tế (CCITT), đây là một tổ chức quốc tế được thành lập vào năm 1865 và có trụ sở chính tại Geneva, tổ chức này thiết lập các tiêu chuẩn truyền thông ITU gồm có hơn 150 quốc gia thành viên. TSS (Telecommunication Standards Section) là một trong bốn cơ quan của ITU. Bất kỳ đặc tính kỹ thuật có một danh hiệu ITUT hay ITUTSS đều ám chỉ cơ quan TSS.
