IIOP(Internet Inter ORB protocol)

The CORBA message protocol used on the Internet. IIOP is built into Netscape 4.0. When a user accesses a web page that uses a CORBA object, a small Java applets is downloaded into Netscape, which invokes the ORB to pass data to the object, excute the object and get the results back. See CORBA.
