FED(Field Emission Display)

A flat panel display that is similar to a CRT and provides an image quality equal to or better than a CRT. FEDs are like a thin CRT, using a vacuum-filled chamber and phosphor-coated glass. However, instead of using three cathodes to illuminate the phosphors by scanning the entire screen, FED displays use millions of cone-shaped cathodes that are stationary.
