CMOS(Complementary MOS)

Pronounced “C moss.” A type of integrated circuit widely used for processors and memories. It uses PMOS and NMOS transistors in a complementary fashion that results in less power to operate. The term is used loosely to refer to the CMOS RAM in a PC.
