challenge/response

An authentication method used to verify the legitimacy of users logging onto the network. When a user logs on, the server uses account information to send a “challenge” number back to the user. The user enters the number into a creditcard sized token card that generates a response which is sent to the server.

Một phương pháp xác thực dùng để xác minh sự hợp lệ của những người dùng khi nhập vào mạng. Khi người dùng nhập vào, server sẽ dùng thông tin account để gởi một số “challinge” trở lại người dùng. Người dùng nhập số vào một thẻ token có kích cỡ thẻ tín dụng, thẻ này tạo ra một thông báo trả lời được gởi đến server.
