CAVE(Computer Automatiic Virtual Environment)

A virtual reality system that uses projectors to display images on the walls and ceilings rather than requiring the participant to wear goggles. CAVE is a trademark of the University of Illinois, which developed the CAVEbrand virtual reality system at its Electronic Visualization Laboratory, and made it available to others in 1992. Contrast with HMD.
