absolute address

A fixed address at which data is stored in the computer’s memory. The address has a numerical location, unlike a relative address, which indicates one location only in relation to another. In HTML the absolute address usually refers to the hyperlink’s complete address including protocol, (e.g. http://www.madeuplink.com/pageno.htm).
