(1)(RealTime Transport Protocol) An emerging protocol for the Internet that supports realtime transmission of voice and video. RTP communicates with the Resource Reservation Protocol (PSVP) dynamically to allocate appropriate bandwidth.

(2)(Rapid Transport Protocol) The protocol used in IBM’s High Performance Routing (HPR).
