Internet II

A nextgeneration Internet proposed by the Clinton administration. To be used by the U.S. government and more than 100 universities, it is designed exclusively for education and scientific research. In other words, what the Internet used to be. It is expected to use IPv6, the next generation IP protocol, the vBNS highspeed backbone as well as “gigapops” switching points that support giga bit persecond speeds.
