HTTPS

(1) (Hyper-Text Transport Protocol-Secure) The protocol for accessing a secure Web server. Using HTTPS in the URL instead of HTTP connects the message to a security protocol. See security protocol.

(2) (Hyper-Text Transport Protocol-Server) A Web server that runs under WIndows NT, developed by the European Microsoft Windows Academic Centre.
