embedded command

(1) A command inserted within text or other codes.

(2) In word processing, a command within the text that directs the printer to change fonts, print underline, boldface, etc. The command is inserted when the user selects a layout change. Commands are often invisible on screen, but can be revealed if required. Embedded commands in a document are proprietary to the word processor used. When a document is printed, the text is copied to a temporary file, and the embedded commands are converted into printer commands for thr printer. (2) Trong tiến trình xwrlys từ, một lệnh trong next vốn điều khiển mau in thay đổi các font, in ở dạng gạch dưới, đậm… Lệnh được chèn khi người dùng chọn một thay đổi kiểu trình bày. Các lệnh thường không được hiển thị trên màn hình, nhưng có thể được hiện ra nếu được yêu cầu. Các lệnh được nhúng trong một tài liệu dành riêng cho bộ xử lý từ được sử dụng. Khi một tài liệu được in, text được chép vào file tạm thời và các lệnh được nhúng được chuyển đổi thành các lệnh máy in cho máy in khi việc in được hoàn tất, file tạm thời được xóa bỏ.
