Many commands, such as the built-in functions of spreadsheet programs require you to provide information, called an argument, that the program needs to execute the command. For example, the function @CTERM in Lotus 1-2-3 requires three arguments interest, future value, and present value. You must specify all three arguments, separated by commas: @CTERM (.012, 14000,9000) The argument separator is essential in commands that take more than one argument. Without the separator, the program cannot tell one argument from another.
