Classical IP

An IETF standard for transmitting IP traffic in an ATM network. IP protocols contain IP addresses that have to be converted into ATM addresses that have to be converted into ATM addresses, and Classical IP performs this conversion, as long as the destination is within the same subnet. It does not support routing between networks.

Classical IP
Một tiêu chuẩn IETF dùng để truyền sự lưu thông IP cho một mạng ATM. Các giao thức IP chứa các địa chỉ IP vốn phải được chuyển đổi thành địa chỉ ATM, và Classical IP thực hiên sự chuyển đổi này, miễn là đích nằm trong một mạng con. Nó không hỗ trợ đường truyến giữa các mạng.
